  • How to get to the Palais des Congrès

    ➢ Coming from Liège-Guillemins Railway Station (15 minutes by foot)

    Head north toward Place des Guillemins. Turn right onto Place des Guillemins. At the roundabout, go straight onto Rue de Paradis. Turn right, then left and cross the river onto the pedestrian passerelle ‘La Belle Liègeoise’, which has been inaugurated in May 2016.

    It takes 5 minutes to reach the Palais des Congrès by taxi.

     

    ➢ Coming from Liège-Palais railway station (28 minutes by foot)

    Head east on Rue de Bruxelles toward Rue du PalaisRailway. Turn right onto Quai de Gaulle. Slight right at La passerelle. Continue straight. Turn left toward Quai Marcellis. Turn right onto Quai Marcellis. Turn right onto Tunnel sous la Dérivation. Sharp left onto Rue du Parc. Turn right onto Esplanade de l'Europe. Destination will be on the right.

    It takes 10 minutes to reach Palais des Congrès by taxi.

    Hotel reservations and conditions

     

    1. The accommodation contract is concluded between the hotel guest and the hotel.
    2. The hotel bill has to be settled directly with the hotel. Official hotel conditions and cancellation fees apply: Individual bookings will be free of cancellation fee until 72 hours prior to arrival. For cancellations later than 72 hours prior to arrival or no-shows, a fee of 100% of the invoiced amount may be charged.

  • About Belgium

    The Kingdom of Belgium is a sovereign state in Western Europe. Brussels, its capital city hosts several of the European Union's official seats as well as the headquarters of many major international organizations such as NATO. Belgium covers an area of about 30,000 square kilometers and has a population of around 11 million people.

     

    The country is divided in three regions and three communities that exist next to each other.     Language

    Belgium has three official languages: French, Dutch and German. People speak French in het south of Belgium (Wallonia) and Dutch in the north (Flanders).  Only a small part of the population speaks German.

    The unit of currency is the Euro.

     

    Climate

    The climate is maritime temperate with significant precipitation in all seasons. The average winter temperature is ± 3°Celsius (± 37° Fahrenheit). The average temperature in summer is ± 16°Celsius (± 60° Fahrenheit).

     

    Electricity

    The electrical current in Belgium is 220 volts (50Hz) with a standard rounded 2 pin europlug. If your equipment requires different voltage, you will need an electrical transformer.

     

  • About Liège

    Liège is a French-speaking city of Belgium. It is the chief city of the province of Liège and the economic capital of Wallonia. Liège is also known as the « Cité ardente », which means the blazing city.

     

    The city has around 200.000 inhabitants. It is the most densely populated urban district of Wallonia and the third most densely populated of Belgium after Brussels and Antwerp.

     

    Liège is located about 95 km from Brussels.  It takes about 1h to reach Liège by car or train.

     

    The Palais des Congrès is a meeting centre of outstanding charm located in the heart of the Boverie park. The centre offers pleasant surroundings, with lush vegetation, paths and ponds. Far from the hustle and bustle of the city and yet it will take you just a few minutes to reach the historic heart of the lively town with its cultural wealth, urban attractions and nightlife through the recently innovated ‘passerelle’.
