ANIMMA 2027 – Two Publication Levels
For every conference contribution, a full paper should be submitted for the ANIMMA 2027 Conference Proceedings. The main benefit of the Conference Proceedings lies in the timely release of the information (before the end of 2027), still including a quality review of all manuscripts. Only full papers (4-8 p.) are eligible for publication in the Conference Proceedings. The Conference Proceedings will be officially published through EPJ Web of Conferences, with a specific ISBN number.
Additionally, a Special Issue in EPJ-N (European Physical Journal – Nuclear Sciences & Technologies) Scientific Open Access Journal will be devoted to the ANIMMA 2027 conference, for which extended conference contributions of longer lasting value can be submitted. Only papers that contain sufficient additional information compared to contributions to the conference proceedings can be considered for publication in EPJ-N. The content of the articles for the EPJ-N publication must meet the level of scrutiny by scientific review, and publication is not guaranteed for the EPJ-N submission.
The Conference Proceedings and EPJ-N are two separate publications. Submission to one does not imply submission to the other. For any questions about the EPJ-N Special Issue, please contact TBA , by email TBA.

1) Conference Proceedings
The Conference Proceedings is the official repository for manuscripts presented at the ANIMMA 2027 Conference. The Conference Proceedings will be officially published through EPJ Web of Conferences, with a specific ISBN number. A link will be provided on the ANIMMA website immediately after publication. The manuscript length should be comprised between 4 and 8 pages.
Submission Procedure
In order to ensure a timely release of the Conference Proceedings, please prepare your full paper using the template (TBA) and upload your manuscript via the ANIMMA 2027 registration tool (TBA) within your registration under the “Edit my full paper”.
The final deadline for full paper submission for ANIMMA 2027 Conference Proceedings is August 30, 2027.
Only papers that meet the following requirements can be accepted for publication in the Conference Proceedings after review:
- Contribution (oral or poster) has been presented at the ANIMMA 2027 conference;
- Manuscript conforms to the page layout requirements specified in the provided template.
2) Special issue of EPJ-N
The European Physical Journal – Nuclear Sciences & Technologies is a premier European peer-reviewed journal with a significant distribution within the nuclear science and technology communities including the nuclear instrumentation and measurement one. EPJ-N Special Edition is not the conference record, and only those papers that pass the review process and are in the fields of interest to EPJ-N will be published in a special issue devoted to the ANIMMA 2027. The review process is quite selective. Moreover, please note that all topics of interest for the conference are appropriate for EPJ-N Journal.
Papers presented at the conference that contain important information of lasting value may be submitted for review and publication in EPJ-N. Prospective authors should consult the EPJ-N page for a description of the publication and manuscript preparation requirements. EPJ-N discourages the submission of progress reports and manuscripts that are more suitable for distribution as an institution’s internal document. We expect each manuscript to be cast in the context of the state of the art of its field (including appropriate motivation for the work), present a complete description of the work performed, and to present a set of conclusions supported by the measured and/or calculated data. The paper should be sufficiently complete that others with comparable equipment could repeat the work.
Authors submitting to EPJ-N should expect to be solicited to serve as reviewers of other papers. Please accept as many solicitations as you are able to handle and remember to return your reviews in a timely fashion. EPJ-N requires at least two reviewers for each paper and the speed of the review process ultimately depends on your cooperation. EPJ-N relies on this most important professional service you, the authors, provide to the community.
The publication of the Special Issue is scheduled for April 2028.
The deadline for submitting manuscripts for the special ANIMMA 2027 issue of EPJ-N is October 1, 2027.
